The lady-baiting cover of Bruce Springsteen’s massive 80s album “Born In The USA,” released by Columbia Records in 1984.
Released two years after “Nebraska,” this is pretty much the polar opposite of “Nebraska.” Ostensibly a pop album, Springsteen goes full Loggins and creates one of the biggest records of the 80s. I really don’t care for the heavily-synthesized production of the era and frankly I don’t like this album very much for that reason, even though some of these songs are undeniably great.
This is another of my wife’s finds. She has a nose for the 80s!

It’s #VinylSunday and today I’m listening to 2004’s ‘Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus’. Released on the Mute label, it was the thirteenth studio album from Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds and slots in between ‘Nocturama’ and ‘Dig, Lazarus, Dig’. It contains some of my favourite Nick Cave tracks such as ‘Breathless’ and ‘Get Ready For Love’ and recieved mostly positive critical acclaim upon its release. #vinyl #record #nickcave #ncatbs

Secret Stash: Soviet Funk vol. 1. LOVE this album, but it clashes with the Pro-Ject. #vinyligclub #vinylsunday (at record den)
